First Construction Company started out 20 years ago building two homes in Lisbon, one a spec and the other a pre-sold. More lots were purchased around the area and the number of homes being built by First Construction Company each year continued to grow, to where now 20 to 30 homes are being built on an annual basis. The first development for First Construction Company was Sumter Ridge in Lisbon, with the next development at The Ponds at Woodland Ridge, also in Lisbon. First Construction Company's 1st venture outside the Lisbon/Mt Vernon area was to Hiawatha. There, over 100 homes were built over a 12 year period. From there, First Construction Company started to build homes in the new Hunter's Ridge Golf Course development in Marion. Then in 2005, First Construction Company purchased 52 acres of land in Robins, just off North Center Point Road, The Wildflower development was born. The Wildflower development will have 77 homes once the project is completed. The following year 147 acres of land was purchased on the north side of Highway 30 on the Southwest side of Cedar Rapids, which is now the College Farms development. This development will have 94 homes thru the first three phases. Over the past 20 years, First Construction Company has built over 500 homes with a commitment to integrity, quality and customer satisfaction.
